Yoga as a Pilgrimage: Moving Inward
The outer world is constantly asking us to put out fires and take care of our material things. It takes time and patience to move inward. Creating a practice that encourages stillness and attention to the spirit is what this workshop is all about. Together we will move from our bodies, to breath, to mind, and spirit. Creating time for the health and well being of our whole selves.
Harnessing the Power of the Breath
Breathe your way to a calmer, more energetic and healthier mind and body. We will begin by creating an inner sensitivity through the shaping of your breath using the diaphragm and the five qualities of healthy breathing. Then, by focusing this inner sensitivity the self-healing process will begin. Through the use of pranayama (breathing techniques) we will deepen awareness and learn to breathe your way into calmness and strength. Putting it all together with a self-healing meditation.
Observe, Cue, Assist: a workshop for teachers
Develop your skills of observation, cuing, and assisting. What are some obstacles you face when observing students? What are you looking for and what are the goals of observing and cuing? How much is too much or too little? Share your experiences, frustrations and successes in an open and energized setting. Then take what you learn into your own practice and your classroom.
Breathe, Rest, Revive: a retreat for body, mind and spirt
A weekend retreat to center, move your body, ground your breath, and quiet your mind. Available for groups of 10 or more. We will retreat to the Himalayan Institute in the Pocono mountains of PA to rest and enjoy.
